ABOUT US
Open Space Brewing is a nano craft brewery, founded by Alexa Tubbs “Highlight” and Matt Leef “Brew Hiker.” They met while thru-hiking the Continental Divide Trail in 2019 and bonded over a love for the outdoors and great beer. Inspired by their experiences, they established Open Space Brewing in Santa Clara, New Mexico, to craft quality ales and honor the trails and open spaces that bring people together.
OUR MISSION
Opened on October 28th, 2023, Open Space Brewing is an adventure-focused business that combines our love for beer and the outdoors. Throughout the year, we dedicate a portion of our earnings to support local outdoor recreation projects, trail building, and conservation in the Gila Wilderness. Our brewery welcomes outdoor enthusiasts, families, friends, dogs (and cats!), aiming to inspire community and preserve our open spaces.
We’re located in Santa Clara, NM, about 10 minutes east of Silver City, NM, and next-door to the Dollar General. The taproom and brewhouse is located inside the former Santa Clara National Guard Armory Building. We’re on the west side of the building with a dedicated parking lot.
